Port Angeles Art Center
While I was in Port Angeles I also took several opportunities to go and visit my grandmother who is in a managed care facility there. Its always nice to see your grandma, and we ate dinner with her each day I was there. My grandmother is wheelchair bound, but right across the street is the Port Angeles Art Center, so my dad and I took her over there one day. The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center is a very nice building, with a great view out the back. While we were there, there was an exhibition of a Northwest painter named Albert Fisher. His stuff was pretty cool. They also had this outdoor kind of sculpture garden, which was an exhibition unto itself called Art Outside. Nice winding paths through a large forested area. While we were wandering through this outdoor area, I had conceived of a little quiz I could add to this website called "Is It Art Or Not" wherein I would show pictures from the sculpture garden, and people would try to decide whether they were in fact art, or just stuff that happened to be there. This got nixed for two reasons. First, it was kind of overcast that day and a lot of the photos were blurry and kind of blah. But secondly, it turned out that every photo I shot was in fact art so there was really no fun in it anymore for me. Well, there was the whole laziness thing too. If I recall correctly, my mom and dad and I went out for sushi later this night. And also, I think this day came before the tide pool day, but does it really matter? More photos below.

View of Port Angeles from the back of the art center. I'm betting that on a clear day you could see Victoria from here.

My dad and grandma going down the winding art center trails.

This was a fun piece, I like the fish leaping in the stones.

These little rock faces were scattered all over. It was fun spotting them everywhere.

This was really cool, painted right onto an existing tree root.

Find one in every car. You'll see.
