Seattle, WA - July 18-22

I'm now trying to put this trip back together after 9 months, however I will not be distracted. I will finish this trip report! The next day at my mom's we got up really early and went out to Salt Creek State Park, where my mom said we could see some good tide pools. Well, she was right. Apparently we picked a good day because the tide was extremely low. There were all these grad students in oceanography or something who had driven up from Seattle just to wander around the tide pools at this beach on this day. There are some photos below, but I just kind of pulled out the best ones. If you want to see more, I have the rest of them up here. In those photos, you get to see why my cheap digital camera needs a polarizing filter. This was really fun. I'm really into marine life and stuff. I wish Bethany could have been there, I'm sure she would have loved it as well.

Lots Of Mussels

I think I'm holding this, I don't remember

The urchins were all different colors, to my amazement.

Blue ones!

Fat purple starfish!

Most of these people are students visiting the tide pools, except the person on the right is my dad.

Mussels, Barnacles, Seaweed

Hey Mr. Crab

I have no idea what causes these, oysters? They were kind of creepy.

Erosion is cool
